Allison Clark was born in London,
England, and grew up in
Brooklyn, New York at The East Midwood Jewish Center. The EMJC is a beautiful
synagogue built in the 1920’s in the elegant Renaissance Revival Style common of that
time period. Allison’s culturally rich childhood planted the seed early for her
love of architecture and design.
Although design was her passion, Allison started
out with the intentions of pursing a career in
business. She earned a bachelors degree in
Business Administration, and became a healthcare
executive for a local New York hospital. It
wasn’t until 1996 that her beloved hobby of
décor became a career. After moving to Delaware,
Allison received rave reviews for how she had
decorated her new home. She went on to decorate
a house for a friend in upstate New York, which
led to a complete career change. She obtained a
job as a design consultant for a home builder
while studying interior design at the Delaware
College of Art and Design. She later went on to
form Allison Clark Designs. Allison recently
earned a Masters in Business
Administration from Wilmington University.
Now an Associate Member of the Interior Design Society (IDS),
Allison specializes in creating residential design and offers a
full range of interior design services. Her mission is to create functional,
beautiful and unique rooms that reflect her client’s lifestyle and personality.
Allison's success stems from attention to detail, personalized service and the
ability to interpret her client’s vision for their home. Her design philosophy
focuses on clean lines, sophisticated colors and texture in materials to create
impressive interiors. Allison’s trademark is mixing interesting fabrics and
accessories and using them in a simple fashion.
